Morgenlicht’s founders, Martina Willach Galliez and Carlos Cesar Galliez, met at the Esalen Institute, in California, in the 80’s, she from Germany, he from Brazil. That encounter led to her moving to Brazil, their forming a new family and subsequently settling down in Barra Alegre, near Nova Friburgo, in the mountainous area of the state of Rio de Janeiro, where they have resided since 1992. The two personally direct the space.
